1. Delivery Territory and Timeframes

We deliver nationwide within South Africa. Orders are processed within 1–2 business days (same-day processing for orders placed before 12:00). Delivery typically takes 3–7 business days from dispatch, depending on your location.

2. Delivery Charges

A standard delivery fee of R120 applies. Delivery is free on orders over R1,500. A surcharge may apply for deliveries to remote areas.

3. Age Verification on Delivery

The recipient must be 18 years or older and must produce valid identification (South African ID, Driver’s Licence, or Passport) upon delivery. If age cannot be verified, delivery will not be completed. One redelivery attempt will be made free of charge; a further redelivery fee of R150 will apply thereafter. We will not deliver to any recipient who appears visibly intoxicated.

4. Address and Collection

Please ensure your delivery address is complete and accurate, and that someone aged 18 or older is available to receive the order. We are not liable for delays or non-delivery resulting from incorrect address information supplied by the customer.

5. Returns Policy

Opened bottles cannot be returned unless faulty. Unopened bottles may be returned within 7 days of delivery at the customer’s cost, provided prior authorisation has been obtained from our team. Faulty, damaged, or incorrect items must be reported within 48 hours of delivery, with supporting photos, to sales@africanroyalwines.co.za. Approved returns of this nature will be replaced or refunded at our cost.

6. Refunds

Approved refunds are processed within 14 business days to the original payment method.

7. Order Cancellation

Orders may be cancelled free of charge within 2 hours of being placed. After this window, the standard 5-business-day cancellation right under the Consumer Protection Act applies, provided the order has not yet been dispatched.
